This Chroma Zone is based on the Classic 1968 Tonebender MK3 with hand selected AC128 Germanium transistors and a few tweaks to make it better sounding and easier to use. This pedal gives vintage fuzz sounds that can recreate the classic tones heard on records by Mr Beck, Led Zep and other Cream of the crop tunes from the 60's and 70's.

The simple Fuzz, Tone and Volume controls makes it easy to dial in your favorite sounds. A good starting point is to set the Fuzz at 3, Tone at 9 and Volume at 12-2. From there you can use the tone knob to dial in your favorite flavour of fuzz. Tune the fuzz up full for rich warm sustain. Experimentation is the key to find the sound that works for you.

This pedal only uses a standard 9v battery. Power jacks are detrimental to ultimate fuzz tones. A 9v battery will lasts for days and days of playing even with the cheap non alkaline batteries (which we recommend).
