The Volume control acts as a master output level control. One improvement of the V4 is that we have added 2x the available headroom to this control if compared to the V3. The Drive control dials in overdrive as you turn clockwise. As this control increases, the treble content is also slightly increased. The Tone control is a basic high-pass filter, and as you turn clockwise, the tone becomes brighter.  As you turn this control to the left, it becomes darker. The Gain toggle activates a new boost mode. This mode is overall more powerful, has more low-end content, and when the drive knob is in its upper region, it creates a more high gain tone than ever available in any variation of the Morning Glory. This toggle is indicated by the status LED turning Red and can be remotely activated by way of the \"Remote Gain\" 1\/4\" jack located on the upper right side of the pedal. This ability enables the Gain toggle be used in an on-the-fly application for live performance. Set your normal MG tone and instantly switch the Red Remote for a secondary tone with using hardly any space on your board at all. The Bright Cut toggle is now located on the side of the pedal, still easily accessible but out of the way. This switch is great for rigs that lean a little on the bright side or when you are using the MG as a higher gain drive sound. This control allows you to dial in the perfect amount of attack and clarity to your compressed signal so that you never lose the original tone of your guitar and amplifier. The EQ control lets you darken and brighten your affected signal. When set at noon, the control is bypassed. Turning the EQ to the left allows you to darken while moving to the right lets you brighten the tone. The Dirt toggle works in conjunction with the side accessible trim pot and allows you to activate your desired amount of dirt\/overdrive into the signal path. This control is a magic bullet for bass players who want to cut through the mix or for electric players who only need compression and dirt as the foundation of their tone. On the side of the PnP you will also notice that the internal bypass buffer is switchable on-the-fly. For true bypass operation turn this off, but for buffered bypass signal to drive your long cable lengths and to restore lost tone, turn this on.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe inputs and outputs are fairly typical. The PnP runs on standard 9V DC power only. The right 1\/4\" jack is the input, and the left 1\/4\" jack is the output. The left side also has an XLR\/DI output so that you can go directly from the PnP into a mixer or studio interface. This output makes the PnP an active DI channel strip for bass players or acoustic instruments.  Yeah, you play this thing like an extension of your mind and fingers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Keeley Bubble Tron Dynamic Flanger Phaser and Random Synth Filter has three modes of operation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Flanger section of the pedal draws on inspiration from the MicMix DynaFlanger.  This incredible piece of gear was used by FZ to create many of the sounds in the late 70s to mid 80s  where a dynamic flanger was used to get envelope based flanging in his solos.  A dynamic flanger is one that starts and stops based on your pick attack or envelope.  The word envelope is used because if you were to measure the “weight” of your guitar signal and put it in a storage container (the “envelope” is an imaginary capacitor) it can then be used to control another part of the circuit.  The Bubble Tron uses your playing to start and stop the flanger.  Most flangers just cycle around and around and you can hear that swooshing in the background.  Not in this case, it only cycles as you play.  Many flangers offer only positive or negative feedback.  This one allows you to try either with the FDBK Control.  The negative feedback sounds more vocal like and hollow to my ears while the positive feedback is more conventional and has a thicker, smoother sound.  The Sensitivity Control allows you to set how delicately you want to play and have the flanger go fully crazy on you.  You can set for crazy silverback gorilla flange or easy flangin’ on Sunday morning.  The Depth Control is just that, how deep you want the flanging to be.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe DynaMoPhase section of the Bubble Tron is actually two phasers.  One has an LFO that you set the speed of with the Rate Control (while it’s depth is dynamically controlled) and the other is a true Dynamic Phaser.  It starts and stops based on your pick attack.  Again, you can set the Depth and and Sensitivity of this phaser to give you a very watery sound that is all based on your guitar’s signal.  You can turn off the standard phaser and just run it DynaPhase by turning the Rate Control off.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eThe White Zone is for Loading and Unloading Only.\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe only effect that isn’t dynamic is the Filter Section of the Bubble Tron Dynamic Flanger Phaser.  With the Filter you can control the different ramps or random nature of the pedal with the Shape Control.  The very exciting part of this pedal is the Sensitivity Control which is actual like a vintage synth style bandpass filter control.  It shapes the bandpass filter on the filter and gives you some incredible keyboard like sounds.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne very nice side effect of dynamic based effects is that they don’t produce the constant, swooshing sound of LFO based effects.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you’re a lead guitar player that likes to explore and has never had the kind of expression or dynamics from your sound effects that you have in your mind, this is for you.  If you are a sound-experimentalist, this is for you!
