The RK2000 Funk Siren Delay is the first-ever pedal recreation of the vintage DM2000 rackmount delay that Trey Anastasio has used since 1984. Trey’s “Funk Siren” is a technique in which a one-second delay actually loops a phrase. Similarly, the RK2000 delay pedal captures delay-like loops with infinite repeat, while freeing you to improvise on top. Switching the pedal in and out of Hold mode builds intense layers of sound within your loops. In essence, the RK2000 can be used either as a delay pedal or a phrase looper. It is designed to be a drop-in replacement for the DM2000, loaded with modern updates such as stereo, tap tempo, and MIDI.

Keeley Electronics designed the RK2000 in close coordination with Trey's guitar tech, Justin Stabler, as well as a host of other players familiar with the original DM2000 and the Funk Siren technique. Here are two standouts that make the sound quality of the RK2000 unique for delay enthusiasts: Firstly, the delay is a 12-bit design, not LoFi 8-bit nor HiFi 16-bit. Similarly, all of the supporting analog circuitry is precisely simulated to capture the unique character of the original delay. Secondly, the modulation spans an incredible four octaves and is nearly 44 seconds long. The RK 2000 provides modulation that’s so dramatic, it’s like slamming your hand against the supply reel on a tape deck. To win Trey's approval, both the tone and the modulation had to be spot on!

Take full control with 5 onboard presets, expression pedal mapping, remote Mod and Hold as well as full MIDI implementation. The RK2000 can be used as a chorus, a flanger, a doubler, a slapback delay, or a saturated tape echo. It is the only pedal available with phrase looping that boasts this degree of modulation.
