  The EH Big Muff Pi defined the guitar tones of the 70’s and then re-defined them in the 90’s.  Yet for all its legendary pedigree, the Pi of today is a far cry from the triangle knobs and ram’s heads that came before it.

  Originally released in 1974, the D&S Distortion & Sustainer creates the same silky, compressed fuzz that those vintage Muffs are famous for.  Yet where Muffs have a tendency to “blanket” your original guitar tone, the D&S retains more of the original sound and feel of your instrument and amp.

  By using hand-selected low-noise transistors, the D&S actually offers more gain than a vintage Black & Red, yet with a lower noise floor.  That’s right – MORE distortion with LESS noise.

  The smooth EQ sweep of the D&S Tone control covers a frequency range that is narrower yet more useful than the Pi’s – This tighter, more focused EQ provides superior note definition, even when playing chords.

  The combination of these elements gives the D&S the ability to produce huge amounts of distortion with minimal alteration to your guitar’s tone.

  One big wall of raw, grungy nastiness in a box – the D&S takes the sound of the greatest vintage Muff and turns it up to 11.

  TECH TALK:

  The secret to the D&S’ smooth tone and natural response lies in two areas of its circuit.  First, the Hi boost/Hi cut Tone control retains low end response while adding top-end clarity to notes.  Next, high-grade, low noise Toshiba 2SC1815 transistors offer more intense distortion with minimal noise and signal degradation.

  The D&S features buffered, JFET bypass switching with a low impedance output, allowing it to drive long cable lengths or other effect units without loss of signal.

All New products are covered by the manufacturers new warranty. Please check their website for the length of warranty and warranty conditions. If an item you receive is faulty get in touch with us ASAP. Second Hand products come with a 4 week warranty from us. If there is an issue let us know ASAP! This covers normal use and does not cover accidental damage, misuse, wrong power plugged into it, modding, water damage or any other damage caused by mistreatment. Just treat it nice and all will be good!

Shipping

We send A LOT of packages every week so don't worry about the shipping side of things!

We've never lost a thing and your awesome new gear will be packed up really well to avoid any damage in transit.

If your order comes in before 2pm we will ship it same day. Most of the time we pack things up all the way to 4pm so just call if you need it to leave same day after 2pm.

We ship mainly with Australia Post but may use a courier depending on location and size of the package.

Free Post ships with Australia Post standard and expected shipping times are between 4-6 business days depending on location. It will be longer to outside of metro and rural areas.

Express Post will usually be with you next business day in metro areas of QLD, NSW, SA, VIC and TAS. WA will take 2 days to metro and extra days after that to out side metro and rural areas.

Everything we ship has a tracking number with the exception of some power cables and smaller envelope packages. You will be emailed tracking once your order has been shipped!
